Italy is one of Europes favorite destinations when it come to vacation. Every year, thousands of families fly or drive down to Italy in the south – to encounter the sun, the warmth, to see beautiful medieval towns and have formidable food and wine. People travel to feel the passion that italians have for their country, to experience their pride of their cultural heritage, and if even for a short while; To become part of the southern life that is lived in the Piazza when the sun has set, and the Italians seem to really wake up.
A lot af people go to the well-known Tuscany, which has understood to market it self – and, as a whole, it has become a popular and expensive area for holidaying.
More and more people, however, are realizing that Umbria, also known as the green heart of Italy, can offer exactly the same experiences as Tuscany – at just a fraction of the price. The problem is that there only has been made few travel books that really describe the entire Umbria – from the south to the north, and from east to west.
On this different and richly illustrated blog, we dive into the more unknown Italy for tourists and show what this part of the Italy has to offer – just a stone’s throw from the famous Tuscany.
In the summer of 2017 we sold the house in Denmark and moved to Umbria in Italy, also called The green heart of Italy. Actually, we were supposed to stay here for a year only. But at times planes change – and now we have decided to stay – and help others who want to have fantastic vacations in the region, which is located in the middle of Italy.
Via Travel2Umbria we make different theme trips for pleasure seekers with an appetite for the good things in life. On the program are both hunting travels, gourmet & golf vacations and hiking experiences.
